Things have really been working out for me lately. My personal has brought me nothing but happiness and contentment, what with my loving and supportive family. And I am doing pretty well at work, exceeding even my own expectations and the goals that I had set for myself at the start of the year. And aside from all that, I have also been able to accomplish a long time goal and dream of mine and that is to be able to learn how to play the violin. Oh yes, it has been a long time dream of mine, but I was not able to find the time to learn how to play it in the past, only now.
When the time finally came and the opportunity arrived for me to learn the violin, I immediately grabbed at it. After all, it is a dream that I have had for a long time now, so I was really so anxious to begin learning about it. And I can say that it really paid off, because I was able to learn quickly enough and became quite the competent violinist, or at least near that level, that I have long seen myself becoming. With the unconditional support that my family has given me, I don’t see how I could have failed or fallen short of reaching my own expectations. So these days, I am spending a fair amount of time learning about the finer details of playing the instrument, as well as all the other things that I have to learn to become a better violinist.
Learning About the Mute and Selecting the Best One
One of the things that I am learning about is the violin mute. A mute is a piece of device that is attached to musical instrument to alter the way it sounds, and it does so by reducing the volume or altering the timbre. It is fitted into the bridge of the instrument, dampening the vibrations so that the resulting sound will be much softer than when the mute is not used. I’m now learning about practice mutes that are fixed on the bridge for reducing the loudness of the violin. My search for the best violin practice mute has led me to a couple of nice choices, and here they are:
• Glaesel Violin Ultra Practice Mute – My top choice for now because of its effectiveness and is very easy to attach to my instrument. Also helps produce the kind of sound that I definitely like to produce from my violin. Buy this for around $3.00 only.
• New Heavy Rubber Violin Practice Mute Ultra (Yallstore) – This violin practice mute manufactured by Yallstore also scores highly for me since I also find it quite easy to use and also allows me to produce the kind of sound that I would like to get from it. Sells for about $11.00 (including shipping fee).
