Expertise is not always attainable; whatever field of interest you might be in. That is the reality of life, as you cannot always be the very best in what you do and in the interests that you might have. But be that as it may, everyone should still try to attain a certain level of competence with whatever field of interest that they might be involved in. It is the very best that anyone could ever hope for and it would also be a favor to himself, to not settle for anything less than what is the best. Having such a goal would also be good for a person’s character in the long run, since it would serve as a really good motivation.
In my desire to learn the violin, that is the very same thing that I have tried to apply. I wan to be able to play the most popular violin pieces, and be able to do it well enough. But then again I also would love to play my own compositions, my own violin pieces. It would certainly be a point of pride for me to be able to do that, and also to do it to the very best of my abilities. My goals are also tempered by reality, somewhat. Yes I do want to be a violinist of some ability, but I also understand that I need to do it from the smallest way, starting from the basics.
Tuning My Violin with a Piano
Tuning the violin is one of the most important aspects of learning how to play the piano. Before I, or anyone else for that matter, could even dream of being able to play the violin and the bow properly, I need to learn the basics. Learning to tune properly is part of it, and I am now in he process of studying how to tune a violin with a piano. It is one of the more tricky parts of learning how to play the instrument, and it is the key to playing it properly, particularly for beginners.
• In tuning the violin with a piano, the first thing to do is to play G below middle C on the piano
• Then, pluck the G string of the violin, which is the one on the far lest when the instrument is facing the player
• Should the G of the violin sound lower than the G of the piano, then turn the fine tuner to the right. And should the G of the violin be higher than that of the piano, then turn the tuner to the left
• Simply repeat these steps for the D, E, and E strings of the violin
