So How Much Does a Violin Weigh?

Details, and then even more details. That’s always been my philosophy whenever my interest in a particular thing is pretty high. I try my best to know as much as I can about it, and then to proceed to master it and be an expert about as much as my capability allows. Of course I’m not always successful, but it also shows that I am never one to easily give up. The emphasis that I pout on details allows me to have knowledge of the smallest things that pertain to the subject, right to the very broadest ideas and concepts involving it. That’s what I call building from the ground up, allowing me to achieve an understanding that I would otherwise not have reached.

Even when it comes to my interest in the arts, my interest is still in getting the details first and then slowly but surely building up from there. I just think that if you know the smallest little thing about your interest, then you can deal with any kind of issue that might surface later on. Some might have thought that when it comes to things that involve art, being detail oriented does not really count that much. But I have to disagree with view, especially since I am presently dealing with something that has to do with music. I am studying the violin, a very intriguing musical instrument as far as I am concerned. It is difficult, of that I am certain, but I accept it as a challenge and get even more excited about learning about it. So, details like the weight of the entire instrument and of the bow really do matter to me a lot.

Weights and Other Violin Matters

The violin is an instrument full of class, and it need not be explained how beautiful its sound is, everyone who’s heard a violin can attest to that. The violin is a string instrument that has four strings, and is tuned in perfect fifths. The violin is actually the smallest and highest pitched of the string instruments belonging to the violin family. The others members of this family of instruments are the viola, cello, and the bass. Aside from the intricacies of actually playing the instrument, I also concern myself with such things as the actual weight of the violin. So how much does a violin weigh? It is essential for me to know that, especially since I believe that it would only help me play better and also get to know the instrument better. Researching for this particular detail, I learned that the violin actually weighed about 430 grams, while the bow should be at 60 grams.
