You can follow the following tips on how to do it properly.

• First thing that you need to do id to wiper down the strings of your violin. You will need a soft clean cloth tat you would then use to wipe away all of the rosin that has accumulated from all that you have done. Be careful to make sure that all of the rosin is removed. After that, you need to wipe down the entire face of your violin, and be sure that you get around the F-holes.

• Remember that the bridge is an important part of your violin, and can break easily. So exercise great care when you are already dusting the rosin from under the bridge. You can use a Q tip to do this. Don’t forget to also wipe your bow. No need to do the strings, just make sure you clean off all of the rosin from the stick.

• About once or twice each year, you can also clean your violin with the use of commercial polishes that specifically manufactured for violins. Try to limit though, as your strings might sustain some damage.
